The 2018 Utah Chapter of the IAAI conference at the Rainbow hotel in Wendover was a huge success. We had 99 fire investigators, both public and private, from all over the state of Utah as well as from surrounding states. Some of the topics that were covered included, photography, scene safety, and evidence collection. We had instruction from the state crime lab on submitting evidence, and instruction from the DA’s office on submitting evidence to the courts and building your curriculum vitae.
Please make sure that you start preparing for next years conference by placing a hold in your calendar. Next years conference will be held February 24th through the 27th of 2019. Hope to see you all there!!
